If you are headed to the beach this summer, you might want to know if you can buy gluten-free products in our fair city.
There are two local stores, Tidal Creek Co-op, located at 5329 Oleander Drive, and Lovey’s, located at 1319 Military Cutoff Road, that stock many gluten-free items and both have fabulous salad bars.
Harris Teeter and Lowe’s are the major grocery stores that I frequent and they both stock quite a few products. Most have some type of gluten-free noodle, baking mix, and cereal. The selection varies from store to store.
I’ve found gluten-free products even in small corner markets downtown, and if you’re ok with working with what you can find, you’ll do just fine here.
